I work as an Emergency Doctor and had always been relatively fit and active but over the last few years with working shifts and exams my exercise habits had changed dramatically.
I also found that while in general I was eating healthy meals I snacked quite a lot and often fell in to lazy habits surrounding food. Especially with the shift work!
The programme has changed my lifestyle with regards to both food and exercise.
It forces you to be a lot more organised. I found myself making a weekly plan for meals and exercise and once it was written it was easy to stick to.
I also experimented with things in the kitchen. Making things from scratch was a refreshing change.
Over 10 weeks I did the programme I lost just over 12kg. This takes both my BMI and body fat measurements back into healthy ranges.
Also my stubborn areas like my hips saw a dramatic loss of 16cm in measurement as did my stomach with a 12cm loss!
The changes are noticeable, I’ve had lots of comments from friends and family but the resounding message is how healthy I look!
I was, and still am astounded by the before and after photo’s especially in the areas that I hadn’t even thought of as a problem.
The programme works, there is no doubt about that. Not only that but it I really enjoyed the exercise part and the eating philosophy is easy to follow.
It does take commitment and some planning but both are well worth it. Most importantly this is not a fad diet and exercise programme.
Hopefully it is now a new outlook on eating and exercise for me. I look forward to my gym sessions and have continued to see progress even after the end of the programme.
