Not Negotiable

My good friend, business partner and tech director, Paul, came out with this gem last year:

“Training for me is not negotiable”

I loved hearing this, because when we met in 2015, Paul didn’t enjoy going to the gym.

But what Paul has learned and experienced, is that our bodies need to be stimulated in a meaningful, measurable way on a consistent basis to function and perform at their best.

Training in the gym is the safest and most effective way of achieving this.

However you chose to use your body out of the gym – in Paul’s case pursuing his love of adventure sports like kitesurfing – as you can see!

Training in the gym is the safest and most effective way of achieving this.

It’s not a superficial want, one that is optional.

If breathing, drinking water, nutritional nourishment and sleep are at the top of the list.

Training is arguably next.

It is an intrinsic need your body and mind have, one that is not negotiable.

If you want to feel, look and perform at your best.

You will find it becomes much easier to prioritise your training time when you classify it in this fashion.

What else in your life is not negotiable?
