What Can You Afford?
Observing the decisions you make about how you spend your money, can be a revelatory exercise.
As can observing how you justify these decisions to yourself.
You might not think twice about going out for dinner and drinks – after all – it’s been a tough week.
You perhaps indulge in some retail therapy on the way home – your boss was a right $$$$$$$ all day!
You happily pay to go on holiday to get away from the grind – you deserve it for the ££££ you have to put up with!
Or you really splash out for a fancy new car which makes you feel good about yourself.
What about investing in your health and fitness though? In your body and well being?
For some, this is where the narrative can often change.
Even if they’re chronically unhappy with the shape they’re in.
“I can’t afford it…”
“I can’t afford healthy foods”
“I can’t afford a gym membership”
“I can’t afford a personal trainer”
Is this actually true?
Replace. Don’t Restrict Costs
What if your daily latte at Starbucks = the cost of your monthly gym membership?
What if going out for an expensive, calorific dinner and drinks once per week = a whole week’s shopping budget?
What if choosing to go on holiday = paying for personal training* for 12 weeks?
So perhaps you CAN afford one…but perhaps not the other.
Your financial decisions are completely linked to the physical shape you’re in right now.
Choose your choices. It then comes down to what you prioritise.
By displacing costs like this, you can change the overall direction of travel of your health and fitness substantially – without earning more or spending more money.
This doesn’t need to be forever necessarily but it can be for a dedicated time.
To get the professional support you need.
To give your body the nourishment it needs.
To enhance your environment to be more conducive to reaching your goals
The key is to be honest about how and why you spend your money and ask if it could be spent differently to help you get to where you want to be.
Yes, certain things can make you feel good temporarily.
But having the health to live life on your terms and smiling when you see yourself in the mirror each day? That’s priceless…
Can you afford not to?

* Investing in a highly experienced personal trainer may be expensive – like hiring any expert at the top of their field – but you will save in 3 major ways.
1 – You will save time – you get to learn in a very short period of time, what they have learned over years. And how to apply it to your body and life.
2 – It will save you from feeling frustrated – you don’t need to guess at what to do – you’ll be guided every step of the way.
3 – And it will save your joints and body from injury or harm – by teaching you how to exercise in a way that is appropriate for you and your current capabilities.
Making your path to achieving life changing results quicker, safer and smoother.
