I started with Andy with weight loss in mind, how to eat well and understand a lot more about the gym and its equipment.
I loved the private environment, I was the only person in the gym – no reason to be self- conscious, especially as I was so clueless.
Andy explained everything so well and in so much detail that it made you accountable for your actions.
He made everything seem so easy and possible and he’s so positive which I definitely took with me after our sessions.
He has changed my way of thinking when it comes to food – I was a crash dieter, on and off them on a daily to weekly basis.
I lacked energy, had real lows when the sugar had worn off.
One question he asked me really hit home – “What do you have as treats?”
I couldn’t answer him, when I wasn’t dieting I ate what I wanted and hadn’t separated food out properly.
I learned what it meant to feel “non-carb” full, a great feeling, which I definitely got used to.
After 3 months of exercise and eating well, I felt the best I had felt in a long time.
I was able to sustain 12 hour shifts without feeling hungry and needing a sugar pick me up. I was much fitter and could see how my body had changed for the better.
Now nearly a year since I started I have managed to keep off the weight – 21 pounds – which is a first for me and I feel great.
